JOB DETAILS: Director, Partnership and Resource Mobilization

Scope of Work /Duties /Responsibilities
• Development and implementation of resource mobilization strategies
• Spearheading proposal development efforts and submission of winning grant proposals.
• Monitoring and maintaining the proposal pipeline and generate regular reports.
• Engaging in donor relationship management to ensure donor retention and upgrades.
• Identifying capacity development needs of the Authority in relation to fundraising and resource mobilization activities.
• developing a resource mobilization Work plan and constantly follow-up the implementation of the plan
• Processing of agreements in connection with funding opportunities and ensure effective and timely follow-up in terms of submission of reports to the donors and grant renewal proposals.
• Ensuring that fundraising and resource mobilization information are up to date
• Ensuring effective maintenance and updating of records of partners’ support;
• Coordinating the development and execution of work plans, budgets and progress reports;
• Collaboration with relevant directorates on the identification and development of programmes for resource mobilization and partnerships;
• Liaising with external partners, government agencies, donors, community leaders, and other stakeholders on resource mobilization and partnership;
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics or its equivalent qualifications from a
• recognized institution
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
• Be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Certified Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) in good standing.
• Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
• Proficiency in use of MS Office applications and ERP platform; and
• Met the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
• Demonstrated experience in securing funds for development organizations
Experience
• A minimum period of twelve (12) in relevant work experience and at least three (3) in a management position in the Public Service or Private Sector;

Job Purpose
This role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of strategies that will enable the organization to attract, measure, develop and manage the organization’s talent pool
Key Responsibilities/ Duties / Tasks
Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities
• Develop core competencies for various job roles supported by training & development strategies and systems
• Facilitate the realization of result-oriented culture evidently driven by suitable performance management, and leadership development
• Oversee the effectiveness of talent development structure and systems in achieving compliance requirements, optimal efficiency, resource utilization and cost containment
• Identify critical roles as well as build and monitor succession plans for critical roles to ensure business continuity
• Build and implement programs for leadership development to enable the leadership deliver on the business strategy
• Conduct talent assessments and develop mentoring and coaching sessions for employees
• Discuss career-path options with high-potential employees
• Conduct skills gap analyses to determine personnel needs
• Perform benchmark analyses and advise the HR leadership on market trends with regards to attracting and retaining talent

Academic qualifications

Previous relevant work experience required.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role, 2 years of which should be at entry-level management.

• Have Five (5) years experience in human resources management at the senior management level. Experience in the NGO sector is highly desired.
• Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
• A Certified Public Secretary (K) and a registered member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries in Kenya is an added advantage.
• Possesses advanced ICT skills and experience using ERP Systems.
