JOB DETAILS:Job Description
To innovate, strategize and execute plans to acquire & retain business and manage the relationship with Banks and non-traditional distribution channels (Micro-Finance Institutions, Saccos, Digital & Aggregator groups). To enhance existing business relationships as well as identify and develop new ones to expand retail & group distribution channels so as to achieve set business targets.
Principal Accountabilities
• Prospecting for new product lines and revenue
• Managing Banks’ and non-traditional sales channels’ relationships Proposing and implementing value propositions to retain and grow revenues
• Support marketing and promotional activities for Distribution channel partners
• Provide quotations to the Distribution channel partners on a timely basis
• Accurately and timely generate business development reports
• Develop and implement new distribution channels in consultation with the Distribution Director
• Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives as assigned.
• Advise on potential products and device strategies to enable the company respond appropriately to emerging business opportunities.
• Monitor channel performance and deal with evolving issues to avoid undesirable outcomes.
• Recruit, train, coach and retain high level partners to meet set annual targets and drive results through Activity Management, Reward & Recognition programs, etc.
• Build a performing Alternative Distribution sales team and enhance their performance through coaching.
• Host regular general-purpose staff workshops to communicate policy and develop team.
• Ensure Management reports are sent on timely basis. Interpret the reports to make relevant changes in the day to day Management of the Channels.
• Formulate and implement Direct Marketing Strategy with all key alternative channels to meet set targets
Knowledge And Experience.
• University degree with professional qualifications in Insurance, Sales Management, Customer Care and Relationship Management
• Experience in project management will be an added advantage
• At least 3 years’ selling and 5 years’ Sales Management experience in Banking, Insurance or Telco sectors

JOB DETAILS:Responsibilities:
Client & Industry Research and Analysis
• Conduct research on clients within specified sector.
• Guidance on trends in specific industries within the Sector or as requested by the different stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management
• Compile and analyse information regarding sales activity and business pipeline for the allocated Sector
• Interact and liaise with clients with the purpose of providing or requesting information, to assist in the deal execution or for critical information for the bank.
• Support the Sector Head and Manager Client Coverage as and when required from an overall Client Engagement/ Insights perspective.
Information Management
• Ensure that the client information is updated in all the relevant information systems.
• Compile and analyse reports on client profitability, product profitability and provide input to the budget planning and performance management process.
Support the Credit Process
Support Sector Heads and Managers: Client Coverage in the credit process including;
• Credit Applications
• NBAC
• Excess Management
• Compliance related issues to achieve zero write-off of debt
• Zero operational loss issues.
• Support the Sector Head to ensure satisfactory Audit ratings.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business- or business-related field.
• A post graduate business degree will be considered an advantage.
Experience
• 1 to 2 years in the Banking, Financial Services or Business Consulting.
• Experience in conducting research and analytics, supported by strong computer proficiency skills.

• Identifying and synthesizing key trends amongst our clients and the geographies which we serve
• Managing investor relationships
Who You Are
• 4+ years in top tier banking, consulting, private equity, or similar
• Current MA or MBA candidate
• Self-starter who is passionate about creating lasting change in underserved markets
• Excellent analytical ability and discipline; ability to think clearly, structure problems logically, and then design and implement solutions that focus on the core issues
• Ability to build strong relationships with partners and colleagues in challenging environments
• Exceptional presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
• Demonstrated leadership skills; preferably in fast-moving and entrepreneurial environments
• Proficient in basic accounting, financial modeling, financial forecasting, and budget development
• Deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities businesses face in frontier markets, as well as the macro-economic trends that impact them
• Past exposure to Development Finance Institutions and/or development agencies is particularly relevant
• Willing to take on new types of work, even without prior experience or direct supervision
• Enthusiastic about working, traveling, and living in a challenging environment
• Comfortable with ambiguity; able to operate effectively in a changing context
• Humble
• Direct experience working in location is a plus
• Language proficiency in location is a plus
