• Teach and deliver exceptional, real world, enquiry-based Biology lessons that align with the Kenya curriculum requirements.

• Timely capture of students data on academic outcomes and articulation of students progress to NP families and other stakeholders when called upon to do so.
• Serve as a home room teachers when called upon to do so.
About You
Skills and Qualifications required:
• TSC certification and a relevant Degree in Education.
• Strictly 3+years teaching experience.

Qualifications:• An applicant must be a holder an earned PhD degree or equivalent in Physical Education and Sport from a university recognized by the University of Nairobi Senate.
• He/she must also have a minimum of three (3) years university teaching experience at Lecturer or Research Fellow level OR a minimum of six (6) years of industry experience in the relevant field.
• The applicant must have supervised to completion a minimum of one (1) PhD and one (1) Masters student OR a minimum of three (3) Masters students.
• He/she must have a minimum of twenty four (24) publication points from peer reviewed journals with; a minimum of four (4) publications in refereed scholarly journals since last promotion; OR a minimum of two (2) publications in refereed scholarly journals and two (2) scholarly book chapters; OR a minimum of two (2) publications in refereed scholarly journals and two (2) peer reviewed working, discussion or occassional papers or two (2) published teaching/lecture modules since last promotion. He/she must have attracted research or development funds or educational resources as a Lecturer or Research Fellow since his/her last promotion.
• The applicant must also show evidence of community service.
• He/she must be registered with a relevant professional body, where applicable.
• The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in his/her area of specialization and also participate in University, Faculty and Departmental activities.

The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa is currently recruiting an IB Teacher with experience of teaching Mathematics at a higher level. The Teacher will join an experienced team of IB educators in the mathematics department. The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for effective delivery of lessons and raising the standards of student achievement in Mathematics, for monitoring and supporting student progress as well as supervising Internal Assessment, Personal Project, and Extended Essay.Roles & responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a passion for Mathematics that serves to motivate and encourage students to attain their personal best.
• Design engaging learning and assessment activities that develop deep understanding.
• Support students to be confident thinkers in a safe learning environment.
• Monitor and track student progress.
• Act as a Personal Project and Extended Essay supervisor.
• Act as a form tutor/mentor to guide and support a small group of students
• Contribute to the development of enrichment / co-curricular and experiential activities.
The requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or an internationally recognized teaching qualification or a BEd /Med.
• Experience teaching in IB Mathematics (3 years minimum).
• Experience of working in a culturally diverse environment.
