JOB DETAILS: Training Manager, UNCP, Deployment Program
Core responsibilities:
• Assess training needs of the deployment program, and, design and implement trainings to strengthen the capacity of newly-hired Experts, and current Experts;
• Plan and conduct technical trainings for new Experts and Trainees, particularly in Resettlement, prior to deployment to UNHCR Duty Stations;
• Conduct trainings on interviewing and counseling skills, including age-appropriate, gender-sensitive and trauma informed interview techniques;
• Provide Resettlement technical support, mentoring and coaching to Experts while on deployment;
• Conduct reviews of resettlement casework and provide feedback to caseworkers/resettlement officers after reviews with a view to improve and strengthen the quality of referrals;
• Regularly assess the quality and impact of the trainings through Experts' feedback, surveys, internal reviews and adapt accordingly to improve and strengthen the program;
• Act as the focal person for resettlement technical expertise in the Deployment Program. When needed, support the coordinators in reviewing and confirming TORs and other activities related to resettlement;
• Liaise with logistics and admin team in the coordination of Nairobi based Experts' orientations and trainings;
• Occasionally conduct missions to UNHCR duty stations for training support and casework support when needed;
• Develop tracking tools and reporting forms to provide feedback and data based on the tools and approaches for which training was provide;
• Attend any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline including International Development, Law, Social Sciences from a recognized institution;
• Prior experience in refugee resettlement, preferably with UNHCR experience;
• Experience planning and facilitating trainings, mentoring and coaching;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to network and engage with various partners;
• A high degree of cultural sensitivity and ability to adjust to change;
• Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy;
• Ability to travel internationally on missions, mainly Resettlement, sometimes on short notice.

JOB DETAILS: Major Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Drive systematic approach to providing immediate support to ERP system users post-implementation across dispersed teams. This includes coordination across multiple teams and countries of targeted hyper support and operational open offices, trouble-shooting meetings, stand-ups, and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and institute continuous improvement culture across hyper support team by evaluating performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement across support approach, training guidance, and support materials.
• Establish direction to ensure all support providers (technicians and subject matter experts) provide consistent responses, follow a consistent approach and are aligned on system and process enhancements throughout deployment, hyper support and transition to operational support.
• Act as escalation point for risks and issues that could block adoption or have large scale impact to offices.

This position is located in the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), Human Resources Management Service (HRMS), Talent Acquisition Unit (TAU). The Associate Human Resources Officer will report to the Human Resources Officer. Within delegated authority, the incumbent will be responsible for providing talent acquisition services to the Resident Coordinator System (RCS) globally including the responsibilities listed below:
Responsibilities
1. Supervises a team of Human Resource Assistants in TAU supporting Resident Coordinator System in carrying out all human resources administrative tasks.
2. Coordinates with client offices on manpower planning and identifying upcoming vacancies.
3. Prepares and reviews classification analysis of jobs and provides guidance to programme managers on the application of classification policies and procedures

Work Experience
