CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER,
Are you looking for a nimble, innovative, and entrepreneurial organization that invests in exceptional individuals? Our client is a leading provider of healthcare management Organizations (HMO) to over a million beneficiaries throughout Africa. Due to their rapid expansion into Africa, they currently have a vacancy for a COO. As COO you will manage all aspects of operations within the business including the Health provider network, clinical services, client relationship management, and claims administration.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
• You will be the HMO’S second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of a business.
• Ensure smooth-running operation including - exceeding profit targets, reporting, channel management, financial management, process mapping, implementation and adherence, management of tracking KPI’s for the division and senior management.
• Take ownership and responsibility for the profitability and management of lead delivery.
• Set up and drive management of data processes.
• Profitability, agents’ commissions, and Cost Management
• High-level reporting on Financial, Data, and Agent trends into actionable insights that can be used to improve business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
• Lead Flow - daily data requirements per category that are successfully loaded into the environment.
• Systems Custodian & processes – documented and adhered to.
• Accurate Reporting – Monthly Financials, Interpret, analyze data and responsible for the automation of reporting.
• New campaign implementation.
• Resource planning – responsible for accurate forecasting of the HMO and staffing requirements
• Oversee and manage the daily operational activities of all the branches.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Reporting, including data sanitization, building reports etc.
• Must have at least 10 years of outbound HMO operations experience at senior manager or executive level.
• Ability to work logically through processes, critique and optimize as necessary.
• Financial acumen, including the understanding of profit & loss on company P&L as well as the profitability of specific initiatives, understanding of key metrics as may be relevant to each part of a process.
• Aptitude for ad-hoc operational requirements
• Outstanding Leadership skills
• In-depth understanding of business processes. Strong focus on implementation and delivery
• Excellent attention to detail
• Approachable
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Great communication skills
