Video Production Officer

Job Summary: We seek to recruit an aggressive, confident, fluent, mature, and creative Video Production Officer to shoot and edit high quality, fast-paced packages for use in IRES multimedia digital platforms and social media on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

The Video Producer is responsible for the effective and efficient performance of the following duties:

  • Prepare and Implement Audio-Visual strategy, bringing state of the art practices, techniques, technologies and approaches to bear on the organization’s media work
  • Shoot and edit high quality, fast-paced short packages for use in IRES multimedia digital platforms and social media.
  • Ensure the effective distribution of video content
  • Prepare protocols and procedures to streamline multimedia production and to manage the organization’s digital and other media assets.
  • Develop a database of partnerships supporting multimedia production, dissemination, distribution, and broadcast.
  • Produce and oversee the production and versioning of multimedia content for the organization, coordinating and supervising the work of internal and outsourced multimedia professionals from relevant fields including photography, filmmaking, animation, data visualization, music, design, translation, ICT, etc.
  • Oversee asset management, dissemination, distribution, and broadcast.
  • Support production research, scripting, direction, and editing.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
  • Identify opportunities for content and go on periodic field missions to collect video assets for production of digital video fundraising assets.
  • Oversee post-production work.
  • Providing technical support as required.
  • Deliver communication activities and content that demonstrate a clear strategic link with broader strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Should have at least a media/multimedia production, production management, filmmaking, or related area is required or any related course.
  • At least 3 years of years of progressively responsible experience in multimedia, filmmaking, broadcast Journalism, Communication or related field is required. Experience in international environment is desirable.
  • Advanced Video Editing, Animation, and Photo Editing -required
  • Mastery of English and Kiswahili both written and spoken.
  • Experience in content writing, digital branding & marketing, and social media management.
  • Mastery of computer usage, web navigation, and social media functionality is imperative.
  • Knowledge of Retargeting/Remarketing, Display, and Rich Media/Video Advertising
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to use the CRM preferably Hubspot.

  • Content Development/Marketing
  • Intermediate WordPress and web development skills
  • Knowledge in the area of Digital Advertising, and media buying

 

Branding, Communication & Marketing

Job Summary: 

We seek to recruit an aggressive, confident, fluent, mature, and creative Brand, Communication & Marketing Officer to organize and oversee brand communication and marketing activities and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media, and the public on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building strong long-term value for our customers and partners including nurturing relationships
  • Brand development – Develop IRES into a formidable brand both locally and internationally
  • Develop brand communication campaigns and media relations strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing) and maintain open communication with senior management
  • Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including material for websites, blogs, marketing material, and other types of content that take the message to the public.
  • Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.)
  • Looking out for relevant local and international events to represent IRES from within Not for Profits, Government, and Private sectors
  • Organize IRES brand communication events (e.g. open days, press conferences) and serve as the company’s spokesperson
  • Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising
  • Address inquiries from the media and other parties
  • Track media coverage and follow industry trends
  • Ensure the organization has membership in national and international trade and professional bodies.
  • Preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly Brand Communication and Marketing plans and reports.
  • Documentation as well as preparing and editing messaging for all products and services
  • Linking with media sources and looking out for opportunities within media to showcase IRES products and services

Qualifications and Experience

  • Should have at least a Degree in Journalism, Communications, and Public Relations or any related course.
  • Qualification, training, or experience in marketing is an added advantage
  • Advanced Video Editing, Animation, and Photo Editing -required
  • Mastery of English and Kiswahili both written and spoken.
  • At least 3 years of Experience in content writing, digital branding & marketing, and social media management.
  • Experience in mass emails, SEO/SEM, and blogging in any fast-paced company.
  • Mastery of computer usage, web navigation, and social media functionality is imperative.
  • Knowledge of Retargeting/Remarketing, Display, and Rich Media/Video Advertising
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to use the CRM preferably Hubspot.
