Job Summary:
We seek to recruit an aggressive, confident, fluent, mature, and creative Brand, Communication & Marketing Officer to organize and oversee brand communication and marketing activities and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media, and the public on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Building strong long-term value for our customers and partners including nurturing relationships
• Brand development – Develop IRES into a formidable brand both locally and internationally
• Develop brand communication campaigns and media relations strategies
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing) and maintain open communication with senior management
• Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including material for websites, blogs, marketing material, and other types of content that take the message to the public.
• Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.)
• Looking out for relevant local and international events to represent IRES from within Not for Profits, Government, and Private sectors
• Organize IRES brand communication events (e.g. open days, press conferences) and serve as the company’s spokesperson
• Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising
• Address inquiries from the media and other parties
• Track media coverage and follow industry trends
• Ensure the organization has membership in national and international trade and professional bodies.
• Preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly Brand Communication and Marketing plans and reports.
• Documentation as well as preparing and editing messaging for all products and services
• Linking with media sources and looking out for opportunities within media to showcase IRES products and services
Qualifications and Experience
• Should have at least a Degree in Journalism, Communications, and Public Relations or any related course.
• Qualification, training, or experience in marketing is an added advantage
• Advanced Video Editing, Animation, and Photo Editing -required
• Mastery of English and Kiswahili both written and spoken.
• At least 3 years of Experience in content writing, digital branding & marketing, and social media management.
• Experience in mass emails, SEO/SEM, and blogging in any fast-paced company.
• Mastery of computer usage, web navigation, and social media functionality is imperative.
• Knowledge of Retargeting/Remarketing, Display, and Rich Media/Video Advertising
• Advanced skills in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to use the CRM preferably Hubspot.
• Blogging
• Content Development/Marketing
• Online Paid Advertising
• Intermediate Graphic design
• Intermediate WordPress and web development skills
• Knowledge in the area of Digital Advertising, and media buying
• Google Ads Certification required
