Job description
Our client is Payroll services outsourcing company with offices in Nairobi. They seek to recruit a highly experienced person in the position of Payroll Officer. The ideal candidate is someone with solid experience in payroll management, ideally in a payroll outsourcing company. .

Responsibilities
• Ensure employees are paid on time and their payslips promptly distributed
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages amongst other reports.
• Maintain accurate payroll information.
• Update payroll records by capturing changes in exemptions, allowances, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job title and department/division transfers, and any other changes that may occur within the month;
• Liaise with company clients on any changes in payroll information and update the records accordingly.
• Ensure that the statutory deductions such as PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, NITA and HELB are filled/paid to relevant authorities in time.
• Compile and share reports of PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, NITA each month and when requested.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies after analyzing information
• Provide payroll information when required and address any payroll related complaints that may arise
• Protect payroll operations by keeping all information confidential
• Ensure that the company is compliant to all laws that relate to payroll processing

Qualifications
• Hold a University Degree in a business related field
• CPA(K) or equivalent
• Have at least 3 years working experience in Payroll.
• Working experience with a payroll outsourcing company will be highly desirable.
• Project management skills & proficiency in Payroll Software and Excel
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and Data Entry Skills
• High sense of confidentiality and integrity
• Working knowledge of a payroll software;
• Ability to work under pressure
• Effective time management with ability to work under minimum supervision.
