JOB DETAILS:Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Management:
• Design and oversee the processes for daily operations for medical service delivery,
logistics, customer experience, finance, and HR.
• Oversee and lead the day-to-day operations across medical service delivery, logistics, customer experience, finance and HR departments.
• Ensure the strategic objectives set by the Board of Directors are achieved.
• Develop and aggressively control operational budgets to ensure that the company
achieves its targets relative to its growth objectives.
• Lead recruitment and execution across medical service delivery, logistics, customer experience, finance, and HR departments.
Operational Performance:
• Set ambitious goals across the medical, procurement, human resource and finance departments for performance and quality
• Establish performance measurement mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes and take steps to improve them.
• Develop, design and improve systems, approaches and management arrangements that results in excellent health service delivery and patient experiences.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure appropriate information flow and prioritization during the development of products, services and technology improvements and builds. Strategy:
• Participate in the development of long-range strategic plans, governance structure and objectives.
• Work with the C-level team, advisors and the board of directors to execute the Company’s.
Expansion strategy:
• Alongside the CEO, develop operational plans and coordinate corresponding budgets
across departments to reflect the volume, revenues, expenses, staffing and capital needs of the company.
• Assist the CEO in fundraising activities where needed.
Compliance:
• Work closely with senior management teams to create, optimize, implement and roll out internal reporting systems, as well as company policies across the medical, procurement, HR and finance departments to efficiencies within the company.
• Design and implement quality control mechanisms and programs to ensure globally accepted clinical standards in care are adopted and adhered to by healthcare workers.
• Ensure compliance with external regulatory bodies and standards boards. Sure responsible medical supply spending practices that align with operating budgets and clinical requirements.

JOB DETAILS:Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the above position based in Nairobi Kenya. The position holder will report to the Supervisor Endoscopy Unit.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct head to toe assessment before procedure to identify care needs and plan effective nursing interventions to meet those needs
• Ascertain patient readiness for procedure using a checklist i.e. confirms consent, IV access, and Vital signs
• Confirm equipment are clean and in working order before start of the procedure
• Assist the physician during the procedure either as a scrub or circulating nurse
• Administer IV medication and fluids as prescribed
• Monitor patients during procedure, ensuring patient safety, stability and dignity is maintained throughout the procedure
• Provide post procedure care and assesses patient’s readiness for discharge from the unit
• Maintain accurate record of patient’s condition, procedures and medications.
• Ensure discharge instructions from Endoscopy Unit are clear and documented, and hands over the patients to the floors or their families
• Provide safe environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices, timely safety checks on oxygen source, suction and other equipment used in the unit
• Take accountability for efficient use of consumables and practices judicious stock control at all times i.e. accurate and timely billing of used CSSD items and unit drugs
• Responsible for safe use of equipment through cleaning, storage, per shift checks of the inventory and timely reporting of non-functional equipment to the unit supervisor
• Participate in unit based continuing education and monitoring of identified unit based quality indicators
• Participate in unit based nursing education, quality improvement (QI) projects, clinical care program certification (CCPC), audits, spot checks and skill checks
Requirements:
• RN from a recognized school of nursing or University
• Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Demonstrate evidence based knowledge of current practices in Medical-Surgical nursing

JOB DETAILS:How can you make a difference?
• The Health Officer (HMIS/M&E) reports to the Chief of Section for guidance and supervision. The Health Officer (HMIS/M&E) supports the development and preparation of the health programme and is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting the programme progress of a sector of the health programme (e.g. maternal, neonatal, Child Health, ECD, Primary Health Care, Immunization, HIV) within the country programme. The Health Officer (HMIS/M&E) provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), organizational Strategic Plans and goals, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
• Participate in strategic programme discussions on the planning of health programmes. Formulate, design and prepare a sector of the health programme proposal, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, the Country Programme, as well as coherence/integration with the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), regional strategies, and national priorities, plans and competencies.
• Support the establishment of specific programme goals, objectives, strategies, and implementation plans based on results-based planning terminology and methodology (RBM). Prepare required documentations for programme review and approval.
• Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and partners to discuss strategies and methodologies, and to determine national priorities and competencies to ensure the achievement of concrete and sustainable results.
• Plan and/or collaborate with internal and external partners to establish monitoring benchmarks, performance indicators, and other UNICEF/UN system indicators and measurements to assess and strengthen performance accountability, coherence and delivery of concrete and sustainable results for the assigned sector in health programmes.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, programme reviews and annual sectoral reviews with the government and other counterparts to assess progress and to determine required action/interventions to achieve results.
• Actively monitor programmes/projects through field visits, surveys and/or exchange of information with partners/stakeholders to assess progress, identify bottlenecks, potential problems and take timely decisions to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant officials for timely resolution.
• Monitor and verify the optimum and appropriate use of sectoral programme resources (financial, administrative and other assets) confirming compliance with organizational rules, regulations/procedures and donor commitments, standards of accountability and integrity, ensuring timely reporting and liquidation of resources.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to government counterparts, NGO partners, UN system partners and other country office partners/donors on the interpretation, application and understanding of UNICEF policies, strategies, processes, and best practices and approaches on health-related issues to support programme development planning, management, implementation and delivery of results.
• Participate in discussions with national partners, clients and stakeholders to promote health and development issues, in the areas of emergency preparedness, maternal and neonatal health, child health, primary health care, ECD, Immunization and HIV.
• Build and sustain effective close working partnerships with health sector government counterparts, national stakeholders, as well as global partners, allies, donors, and academia. Through active networking, advocacy and effective communication, build capacity and exchange knowledge and expertise to facilitate the achievement of programme goals on child rights, social justice and equity.
• Participate and/or represent UNICEF in appropriate inter-agency (UNCT) discussions and planning on health-related issues to collaborate with inter-agency partners/colleagues on UNDAF planning and preparation of health programmes/projects, ensuring organizational position, interests and priorities are fully considered and integrated in the UNDAF process in development planning and agenda setting.
• Apply and introduce innovative approaches and good practices to build the capacity of partners and stakeholders, and to support the implementation and delivery of concrete and sustainable programme results.
• Keep abreast and conduct research to provide evidence for implementation of best and cutting-edge practices in health.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
• A bachelors university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health/nutrition, pediatric health, health research, biostatistics, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field.
Work Experience:
• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public health/nutrition, pediatric health, health research, biostatistics, epidemiology, health monitoring and evaluation, Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
• Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
