Terms of Reference for Statutory Audit Assignment from the Financial Year March 2023 job at Build AfricaSpecific Objectives
The objectives of the audit are as follows:
• Determine the accuracy and completeness of Build Africa Kenya financial statements.
• Review and evaluate the adequacy of the existing internal control system over fund disbursements, payment approvals, procurement, and Asset management.
• Determine compliance with existing Build Africa Kenya procurement, financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• In particular, to report on the degree to which enforcement of controls and compliance with policies has improved in the latter months of the year
• Provide audited accounts for the period as a statutory requirement.
• Determine the compliance with the existing country/statutory/taxation regulations as regards maintenance of financial statements.

Payment Schedule• Payment will be made upon the satisfactory quality deliverables as scheduled and described in the previous section.
Desired Competencies, technical background and experience
• A first-level university degree in a related field
• A minimum of two years’ relevant professional work experience in graphic design: Print, web, graphics for social media, infographics, large-format graphics and various other collateral materials, video a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant computer software, internet navigation and various office applications, specifically interactive digital media including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, with a thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), HTML, and motion graphics/animation
• General ability to draft ideas and concepts, clearly and concisely, in written and oral form
• Proven ability to research, analyze, evaluate and synthesize information
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and familiarity with UNICEF programmes is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.

Administrative Issues
The consultant will work under the supervision of the Regional Chief of Communication and work closely with the Communication Specialist to make sure that the end product is of good quality in terms of desired layout, artwork concepts and final output.
• The graphic designer will provide initial concepts for approval and incorporate feedback and comments from UNICEF.
• The assignment will be remote based
• Any cost incurred to enable the consultant successfully carry out the assignment, such as computer and design software, will be covered by the consultant
• The final products should be delivered to UNICEF in Indesign and PDF formats - both low and high resolution, and original data files.
