JOB DETAILS:The Position
Our Reservation teams are an integral part of Intrepid success and as a Senior Reservation Assistant you’ll play a big part in that! In this role you will be responsible for booking, providing information, advice, and all related services to suppliers, agents, clients, and customers wishing to travel with Intrepid!
You will work with external booking systems and procedures, Travel Studio, and other internal systems to manage the booking and confirmation with suppliers of all accommodation, transportation and required activities.
This is a full-time position based in Nairobi, Kenya, we believe vaccines play a critical role in the safe return of travel. To ensure our workplaces are safe, we require proof of Covid-19 vaccination when you work from an Intrepid office, attend company events or travel on trips. For those who can’t provide proof of vaccination or a medical exemption, we may offer the option for remote work.
Passion for travel is a must-have! & in addition to that, you’ll bring with you:
• Diploma level in Tour-related studies
• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Strong destination/regional and local travel knowledge
• An understanding of and a passion for various styles of travel, including our different brands.
• Experience with a reservations system, ticketing and other reservations processes
• Strong written and spoken communicate skills in local language and English.
• Able to relax and have fun at work with the team and still meet objectives
You will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage own workload, you’ll be responsible, reliable and honest and can work independently and collaboratively with a team and share Intrepid’s core values of integrity, innovation, fun, passion, growth, and responsibility.
