JOB DETAILS:

Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for enforcing underwriting controls in the Branch including on-barding, issuing certificates, booking of business, documentation, Implementing underwriting guidelines, processes and procedures to ensure quality underwriting and business, ensuring profitability of the branch through quality control and on-boarding, ensuring quality documentation, timely turn around and maintaining excellent customer service and retention support.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enforce underwriting controls
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
• Debiting of premiums and processing of policy documents within set timelines
• Debiting and processing of renewal endorsements
• Processing and checking of underwriting Documents
• Issuing of Endorsements
• Issuing of Motor Certificates
• Issuing and signing of yellow cards
• Review and dispatch of notices within set TAT
• Ensure work is done within the set standards of service – Customer service charter
• Do a detailed weekly mail reports on outstanding work.
• Give quality customer service to all our clients.
• Safe keeping yellow cards.
• Daily scanning and indexing of mails
• Issuance of valuation letters and follow up
• Adherence to the credit control policy
• Follow up renewals and reporting on status
• Processing of client and Bank refunds
• 100% Adherence to the authority matrix
• Adherence to the underwriting guidelines and memos
• Ensure registry is fully maintained in an orderly and is up to date
• Ensure compliance of AML and PEP guidelines
• Ensure cross sale and up sale opportunities are maximized.
• Premium receipting of Mpesa, VISA and cheque payments and ensure cheques are banked on time -GI and Medical
• Issuing customers with updated/ correct customer statements
• Assisting clients with claims reporting (both GI & Health) and follow ups with Head office
• Onboarding of retail medical clients and ensuring the customers receive medical cards
• Perform any other duties as may be required by the management.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• Business Related Degree
• Advanced Industry Qualifications/ C.O.P
• 1 year’s experience in the Insurance Industry

Successful candidate for this role will work & grow with support of leaders and teams in Account Management, Customer Development Excellence, Channel & Category Management & Shopper marketing as they drive to sustain our massive growth of our Market share across all brands and categories through well planned and phased retail expansion & brands/categories marketing investment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Account Management: You will be the face of Unilever to our field sales experience (retail, wholesale & Modern trade) customers and will be required to work with them on joint customer business planning that will deliver profitable growth for all parties.
• Channel & Category Management: You will be required to consolidate and drive category growth through the execution of relevant activities and innovations. You will work with finance on managing category budgets and ensure category profitability. You will also provide inputs to Supply Chain on upcoming demand and work closely with marketing to deliver innovation activity into the trade.
• Shopper Marketing: You will be curating and executing strategies to lead our most well-known brands with the most innovative trade action plans. Uses strong shopper insights to work strategically with key customers to develop and execute
• joint marketing campaigns that help grow both our businesses. Engaging with consumers, through our brands, to communicate and engage consumers in our sustainability mission.

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in any Business-related course
• Young talents with demonstrated experience, knowledge, or passion of FMCG industry.
• For experienced candidates 1-2 years’ will be maximum experience considered.
• High sense of customer obsession & focused on customer solutions
• Innovative thinker with good strategic, logistical skills.
• Strong analytical skills and able to derive insights into actionable plans
• Flexible and adaptable o highly volatile and fast phased environment
• Demonstrate great communication and interpersonal skills
