Your responsibilities will include:
• Participate in recruitment and selection activities including drafting, publishing, and advertising job descriptions, screening applications, scheduling and interviewing candidates, coordinating with the hiring managers, communicating hiring feedback, and preparing reports about hiring trends.
• Onboarding new employees including pre-onboarding paperwork, workstation allocation, HRIS onboarding and training, and health insurance enrollment.
• Offboarding new employees including facilitating the clearance and handover process in collaboration with the Engineering and Operations teams and conducting exit interviews.
• Maintain and update an efficient HR database, monitor employee lifecycle, and prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for applicable metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism rates, and labor costs while maintaining the integrity of all data.
• Collate and prepare payroll data in conjunction with the line managers, emphasizing accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Handle mid-month and end-month payroll schedules including filing for statutory deductions.
• Participate in employee training and development, including conducting training sessions, organizing and managing external training programs, and maintaining training records and the company’s training calendar
• Participate in the formulation, implementation, and training of HR policies, processes, and procedures
• Maintain and continuously update Tushop’s career pages to reflect the culture that powers the team
• Oversee day-to-day administrative activities and tasks
• As the first point of contact for any HR-related queries, effectively communicate with team members on an ongoing basis and provide support to staff by answering questions about HR policies, processes and procedures, employee benefits, and HR Compliance.
Who we’re likely to hire:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
• 3+ years of work experience in a similar role in corporate HR, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or a start-up environment
• Working knowledge or familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems, Payroll Software, and Applicants Tracking Systems
• Good understanding of employment laws, human resources best practices, and legal guidelines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid work ethics, integrity, and ability to maintain employee confidentiality
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Active listening, great communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
• A highly motivated and reliable individual with superior attention to detail
• A people person with excellent interpersonal skills and a welcoming personality
