The successful candidate will be involved in the following priority areas:
The successful delivery of various types of investigations including financial investigations
Conducting risk assessments with a focus on financial and operational issues and non-compliances with applicable standards
Identification of risks and the development of implementation plans to mitigate these risks
Work with other members within IFA and the wider CFI practice to deliver on various engagements across Africa and the wider EMEA region
Drafting proposals and reports for management review
Forensic and accounting technical research
Structured review of data as part of an investigation
Requirements:
Essential
• Two to three years professional forensic accounting and investigations experience in any jurisdiction (Africa experience preferred)
• Understanding of a company's financial operations and able to interpret all aspects of financial statements
• Track record of the successful delivery of assignments
• Strong background - academic or professional in auditing and accounting
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Current or prior experience of working in the Africa region
• Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting/law/advisory firm
• Inhouse forensic investigation role
• Proactive fraud / corruption risk management
• Knowledge of PFMA, MFMA, FCPA and UKBA
• French or Portuguese language is a bonus

• Forensic accounting degree, Accounting/Finance degree
• Internationally/locally recognized accounting or investigation qualification (CPA(KE), ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFE, FP
