Responsibilities:
• Enable market scoping in FHM Engage activities through participatory approaches and platform(s) to (i) define a priority problem to be addressed in family planning and maternal and child health, ii) identify the core markets most directly implicated in the problem, (iii) diagnose root causes of underperformance and design interventions, and (iv) define interventions that will strengthen the supporting functions in the market system
• Ensure project activities are consistent with established evidence-informed good practice, including stewardship in market development approaches; high-impact stewardship practices; and effective approaches and tools to implement these practices
• Support technical work in topic areas including analysis and publication of technical reports, case studies, agreed-on deliverables, and technical tools on topics related to health market development and private sector engagement
• Support the development of work plan and implementation of assigned core activities, primarily in East Africa, including strategy development, implementation planning, and technical direction of activities
• Support identification and recruitment of individuals with technical expertise who may be available for short- and long-term assignments
• Ensure that all activities are undertaken in full compliance with standard operating procedures, USAID policies and regulations, and national policies and laws
Facilitate partnership development
• Provide coaching and mentoring support to regional and local implementation partners who will lead the implementation of FHM activities
• Work closely with Network Funds Director to select local or regional organizations to carry out activity implementation. Ensure work completed by partners is aligned with the FHM approach and of high quality. Monitor shifts in implementation timelines and alert the corresponding project management unit when needed
• Enable the scale up of market-based approaches that are co-created with key public-private stakeholders and supported with state-of-the-art technical, business, and market segmentation analysis, and other relevant services to ensure sustainable and equitable access to family planning and/or other health products, services, and information

The Position:
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for implementing automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing, and automating testing in support of software test requirements. The Software Quality Engineer works with QA Analysts to develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework and automation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contributes towards strategy formulation which includes decomposing the business and technical requirements into test scenarios, defining test data requirements, managing test case creation and other testing preparation activities.
• Work with Quality Assurance Engineers in reviews of test plans, designs, and requirements documents with cross-functional teams.
• Perform effort estimates for projects QA activities and tasks and develop plans and schedules based on the estimates.
• Implement Test Automation leveraging test automation frameworks.
• Executes and reports on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products, assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed.
• Design, implement and manage automated suites of black-box and white-box test scripts.
• Research, Develop and/or Recommend tools to assist QA Analysts in test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Utilize tools such as code coverage tools to assess the coverage of test suites and make recommendations for additional test cases.
• Monitor test execution across multiple code branches and multiple platforms and performing code reviews.
• Management and maintenance of Test Environments.
