Responsibilities
• Select, handle and follow up the development of new pesticides based on market evaluation and suppliers viability of new projects.
• Define and implement an annual trials plan in order to evaluate current and future varieties portfolio.
• Build up a solid network with growers/farmers who will accommodate trials.
• Promote new selected pesticides in the local market by distributing samples to the Sales Rep and to farmers .
• Visit key farmers and dealers to check on the trials’ results.
• Support in the preparation of technical handouts, posters, brochures and pesticides catalogues for Unifert’s products, and support in the drafting of technical publications and reports for advertisement in local magazines.
• Organize and conduct monthly meetings with the Sales team to check on the work flow.
• Participate in the preparation of the pesticides forecast and the yearly budget.
• Prepare the pesticide’s order plan for the whole year per supplier in coordination with the Management.
• Prepare marketing studies of surrounding markets (East African markets)
• Responsible of the technical training to the sales Team and other stakeholders.
• Monitor the stock inventory and stock rotation and ensure that the purchase of products is done on time.
• Insure that all the products received are in good condition and have a high quality standard.
• Handle and ensure the registration of the pesticides at the Ministry of Agriculture, CRI, KTDA, KEBS, and KEPHIS among others and according to local legislations.
• Act as a technical support to the sales force when needed.
• Handle the preparation of the products labels according to the official norms and regulations, as well as the development of spray programs and products’ anti-counterfeit measures.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and adherence to government legislation.

Primary Responsibilities
• Leads the Food & Beverage Department by developing and implementing department objectives in line with the business objectives.
• Direct F&B Service operations such as restaurants, bars, and banqueting and provide guest assistance whilst ensuring compliance with all food and beverage policies, procedures, standards, and satisfaction of guests’ needs and ensure that subordinate heads of the department take corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain high visibility during the peak period in order to ensure the smooth running of operations, promote good public relations, take corrective actions, and handles customers’ complaints to ensure their satisfaction.
• Maximizes outlet revenue by controlling special promotions and activities, and up-selling food & beverage in order to maximize Revenue.
• Develop, implement and continually review the policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
• Select, train, develop, schedule, and manage the performance of direct and indirect subordinates to ensure the efficient running of food & beverage operations.
• Work with GM to approve the training plan for all food and beverage sections and follows up to ensure compliance and efficiency of training activities.
• Interact with the management of other departments within areas of responsibility and develop solid working relationships with them.
• Conduct regular departmental meetings and daily briefings with Outlet Managers.
• Participate in preparing the annual budget and manning guide and manage the Food and Beverage Department within budgetary guidelines.
• Keep abreast of all emergency procedures, Nairobi Street Kitchen promotions, product knowledge, VIP arrivals, and upcoming events, and brief direct subordinates accordingly so that all food & beverage staff are able to answer guest requests and questions.
• Accomplish a set of administrative duties such as leading and attending meetings, writing reports and memos, and other specific duties related to the job function.

Experience and Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of similar experience in Food & Beverage.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Reporting to the respective County Executive Committee Member, the Officers will be the
• Accounting and Authorized Officer for the Department and will also be responsible for the following;
• Day-to-day administration and coordination of the respective county department as provided under section 46;
• Providing strategic policy direction for effective service delivery within the department;
• Implementing policies and programs within the department;
• Developing and implementing strategic plans and sector development goals including performance management;
• Formulating and implementing of effective programs to attain Vision 2030; and
• Promoting and ensuring compliance with National Values and Principles of Governance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
• Overseeing the management of finances, preparation of budget estimates, annual work plans and programs;
• Maintaining effective collaboration and partnerships with other organs of the County, other Counties, and as well as the Private Sector;
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant Executive Committee Member from time to time.
