Data Analyst and Documentation Officer
Key Responsibilities Performance Measurement
Data Analysis
• This position is responsible for supporting the achievement of Corporate Banking Division financial returns through provision of insightful and timely reports that can be used to make appropriate
• decisions.
• Develop management information reports that can be used to identify monetizable trends from customer’s data.
• Participate in regular business deep dives to analyse business unit performance to identify areas that require remedial action.
• Working with the BI technical team in IT and finance, develop customer 3600 capability on the SAP BI system.

• Lead the team in automation of reports in the end state BI system.
• Perform other ad hoc analytics duties to be allocated to them from time to time.

• Participate in reviewing the data warehouse governance and structure to ensure the data meets and serves business needs.
• Supporting in automation of Corporate Banking performance reports.
• Perform regular data analysis to uncover revenue opportunities and identify income leakages.
• Respond to ad-hoc requests in set SLA.
Customer Experience
• Track and report customer experience metrics for business units in partnership with customer experience department and business units
• heads. The reports should track CRM data base for;
• Up to date account plans for all Corporate Banking customers.
• Call reports filed within 24 hours after customer visit.
• Tracking aged service requests
Academic Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, computer science or business related field from a recognized accredited university.
Job Experience
• At least 2 years’ experience working in the area of data analysis in a role requiring:
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and data gathering skills
• Data organization skills
• Professional/technical skill- Analysts are expected to have advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint. Experience with other professional programs (e.g. R, STATA, Access) is a plus.

Qualitative Research and Design Analyst job at Busara Center
About the Role:
• A Qualitative Research and Design Analyst is a critical part of the Qualitative Research and Design Team. The role holder supports the rest of the division, as well as the organization in delivering on high-quality projects.
• The Qualitative Research and Design Analyst will support the Projects Division team and will be responsible for the execution of the qualitative phase of research within a project. They will also engage in a variety of qualitative research activities and is required to have a high level of self-motivation and energy, an optimistic “Can-do” attitude, and very strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Due to the sensitive nature of our projects and our clients, extreme attention to detail is required. Additionally, an Analyst should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Qualitative Analysts report to Specialists within the Qualitative Research & Design Team.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• A Qualitative Analyst will work closely with Busara staff and directly with academic researchers and advisory clients to perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
External-facing work
• Design effective qualitative instruments and coordinate all activities associated with tool development, including research, formatting, and liaising with survey programming teams.
• Conduct qualitative research in the field and support the project supervisor in field officer management when conducting qualitative research in the field.
• Analyze, summarize, and present results from qualitative research projects.
• Support the specialists and project supervisors in preparation of customized reports, highlighting main findings and key points, and effective communication of the results to the end-user both orally and in writing.
• Create detailed and well-formatted drafts of client reports, research processes and findings, literature reviews, proposals, and pitch decks.
• Serve as a professional and timely liaison to clients when necessary.
• Contribute to project on-boarding and off-boarding for knowledge management.
• General logistics planning for project activities as it relates to content outcomes such as phasing of field activities and coordinating client meeting.
• Work closely with Operations and Labs staff to plan logistics for field operations, data collection, and data quality assurance.
• Ensure that all project work is communicated with the relevant teams at Busara to ensure the proper roll-out of the engagement. These include, but are not limited to, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and People.
General accountabilities

Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist (M&E)
Job Description
The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will lead and coordinate the Monitoring and Evaluation activities for EDE-CPIRA project. S/he is expected to have the experience and capabilities necessary to lead the measurement, monitoring, evaluation, and learning of the project’s activities, while ensuring that all programme components are results-oriented and that all project team members are focused on achieving the project targets and KPIs. S/he will be responsible for providing technical leadership in Monitoring and Evaluation. S/he will develop the result measurement and management systems, approach and tools, and lead the implementation of the results chains and indicators for the program. S/he will be responsible for to provide the programme management team with tools to effectively track project progress and achievement, and to perform a mid-term and end-line project evaluation with sufficient information to assess the programme’s success.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the review and implementation of the result measurement and management system.
• Lead in reviewing and updating the log frame and result chain of the project.
• Coordinate the review of project KPIs for each intervention.
• Develop tools for assessing performance of community managed water systems
• Develop performance tracking templates with support of the technical team
• Train water committees on using of the reporting tools.
• Periodically collate data sets, track, and analyse performance of community water systems.
• Prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports under the guidance of the Team Leader
• Support the county water departments on performance updates of water systems.
• Perform mid-line and end-line surveys.
• Lead in the production of documentation, KPI reporting and sharing of key results and learning along the interventions.
• Facilitate periodic project reviews and learning forums, ensure proper documentation of findings and learnings.
• Ensure that Monitoring and Evaluation provide ongoing evidence and inputs for improving the programme interventions.
• Contribute to project reporting for donor and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
• First degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics or Economics, Population studies, Development studies (a Masters’ degree in the same will be considered an added advantage).
• 5-7 years’ experience in performing M&E roles with demonstrable experience in handling large data sets especially in handling data manipulation and exploratory analysis. (Experience in EU reporting standards and systems will be an added advantage).
• Demonstrated experience using a mix of informational sources and M&E/research methods to analyse project progress, communicate findings to a range of external and internal stakeholders, and apply M&E results and learning to work planning.
• Preferable background in/understanding of the Water and Sanitation sector.
• Experience in catalysing programmatic learning and adaptive management with donors, NGOs, contractors, or international organisations.
• Demonstrated experience in knowledge management.
• Practical experience with creating survey tools and conducting field data collection.
• Experience with innovative digital data systems, tools and devices, platforms.
• Preferably experienced with statistical software packages such as SPSS, Stata.
• Proven ability to teach/mentor others such as stakeholders or partners.
