About The Role:
Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Daily Hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and prep kitchen
• Food Safety champion in the department by influencing and adhering to the applicable procedures
• Meals preparations and service
• Meals service to students and teammates including residence teammates meals service
• Liaise between Dean of Students and School Nurse handling students with special dietary requirements as the food allergy policy.
• Meals feedback review and action
• Conduct weekly workplace safety Inspections
• Lead weekly teammates meetings
• Verify Meals quantity served to students and teammates
• Monitor weekly stock take of food service equipment

About You:
Skills and Qualifications required

• Certificate in Food production or equivalent certificate in Hospitality
• Valid Vaccination certificate
• Four years working experience in a school kitchen will be an added advantage
• Computer literate MS EXCEL,MS WORD
• You are a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• You are able to work well and meet strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
• You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

• Keeping working area clean throughout the day
• Ensuring that the prescribed uniform is worn and is neat and clean
• Ensure clear documentation on key Stored areas are implemented
• Planning for procurement of stock and non stock items
• Receipt of products, Documentation and storage
• Keep clear and auditable stores and stocks control management system
• Vendors accounts reconciliation and payments proceeds
• Manage and process day to day schools catering information requests
• Coordinate school campus stores and best practices
• Follow through events and functions information
• From time to time follow through with customers feedback for completeness of actions or trigger to continuous improvement
• Provide advice to the team based on Costs vs Consumption trends data
• Performing any other duties delegated the Catering Services manager
