Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures for safe start up and shutdown of oil extraction machines.
• Ensure pre-start up, start up, operational and shut down checklists are completed before plant operations commence
• Ensure cleanliness of the working area.
• Maintains various operational records and logs and produces operational reports.
• Oversees the flow of information and reports, coordinates actions when necessary, and ensures response plans are followed during emergencies and natural disasters.

Job Description
• Assisting in conducting laboratory tests, cadaver dissections
• General maintenance of the laboratory.
• Assisting in preparation of reagents, samples and specimen for Histology practicals.
• Guiding the students in conducting Practicals in the Gross & Histology laboratories.
• Assisting in collection, handling and preservation of cadavers.
• Establishment & maintenance of laboratory inventory for supplies, reagents & equipment.
• Storage of equipment and disposing of used specimen.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Job Requirements for Appointment
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory science from an accredited institution
• Experience in an established Human Anatomy laboratory of a higher learning institution.
• Knowledge in Information Communication Technology.
• Registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
• A certificate in mortuary science
