The DOC team is requesting the support of a Senior Duty of Care Advisor to help the team prepare for and launch this new regional coordinated structure. This will involve developing a series of trainings and how-to guides which will help teach and guide DOC team members in the core content areas required for their roles and in the common situations in which they will be called by their regions/country programs to support. Part of this work will be to help repackage existing materials and content. Part of it will be developing new content based on authoritative understanding of psychosocial interventions in the workplace. The Senior DOC Advisor will also help add senior capacity to the DOC team during the contract period. This includes assisting with country and regional leadership support during critical incidents. The Senior DOC Advisor will also help develop and will lead on preparations for an in-person DOC team training to be held during the consultancy period.

Primary Duties/ Responsibilities
• Provide general nursing care to patients which include taking of vital signs and taking appropriate action.
• To administer and dispense medicine as per prescriptions giving adherence counseling.
• To manage MCH PF Clinic, compile monthly report and requisition adequate vaccines to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• To manage patients, diagnosis and treatment in the absence of the Company Nurse.
• To maintain correct and handle all client information confidential
• To plan and implement health talks every month on health issues like malaria prevention.
• To assist in all clinic operations, including filtering clients and attending to emergencies whenever required.
• Assist in medicine balancing and stock taking, ensure correct recording of all medicine used daily to prevent stock variances.
• To ensure clinic general cleanliness and proper arrangements of items.
• To attend to emergency calls during the night as per shift allocation
Key Qualifications and Skills
• KCSE B – (Minus)
• Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya
• 2 years’ experience
• Good communication skills.
• Training in HIV/Aids

Job Purpose
The Senior Technical Advisor-Care and Treatment will work with the KCCB ACTS Deputy Program Director-Clinical Services in providing technical assistance for activities intended to strengthen the capacity of supported health facilities, project technical teams, and other stakeholders to effectively deliver integrated and quality care & treatment services including Pediatric, TB/HIV, PMTCT, VMMC, Adolescent and Adult HIV Care & Treatment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead in development and oversight of program weekly, monthly and quarterly Adult HIV and TB work plans;
• Working in collaboration with Deputy Program Director-Clinical Services, support health facility and program teams in development of
• integrated HIV/TB facility interventions and work plans and oversee their implementation;
• Collaborate with S/CHMT, project technical staff and supported health
• facilities to strengthen the CD4, VL lab and sputum samples networks in supported sites, ensuring timely collection of relevant lab samples
• for diagnosis and for monitoring treatment outcomes;
• Provide support in implementation of continuous quality improvement
• projects to improve quality of services in supported sites;
• Work in collaboration with S/CHMT and other project technical teams to conduct targeted site supervision visits to KCCB ACTS supported
