• This is the most senior Education Thematic Director in Save the Children. This role has overall accountability for the quality and impact of Education work across our child rights programming framework (service delivery, systems/policy/advocacy, and civil society and children’s engagement to hold duty bearers accountable) across Save the Children, promoting programme innovation and drawing on and contributing to the best global evidence on what works to guarantee children’s rights, and particularly their right to education.

Reporting to the Chair, Department of Medicine, the incumbent will undertake clinical, educational and research functions under supervision. The incumbent will admit, consult and undertake diagnosis and treatment of patients admitted under the Nephrology section. S/he will be allowed to order tests and radiology and consult with sub-specialists when necessary to ensure quality, professional and ethical patient care.

• Identify, select and modify instructional materials to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and plans for improvement.
