Essential Duties
• Communicate KCDMS performance by processing, packaging and disseminating a wide range of Information, success stories, learning pieces and reports among relevant stakeholders.
• Technical Documentation and Reporting: work in collaboration with component leads, MEL team and Home office support team (Based in America) to edit, brand, and finalize KCDMS technical reports including but not limited to Bi-weeklies, Value chain analysis studies, quarterly reports, Annual report and work plan among others.
• Knowledge management: Facilitate development of KCDMS Information, Education and Communications (IEC) materials and effective dissemination of the same through the most appropriate channels.
• Maintain the USAID branding and Marking plan: provide guidance to teams internally and externally on how best to go about USAID branding on a need by need basis. Ensuring that the branding requirements are upheld.
• Maintaining the KCDMS photo database/video library: Continuously highlight the KCDMS interventions through photography and video documentation by external teams (Home office photographers etc.)
• Success story and learning pieces documentation: support finalization the learning pieces and success stories, and support dissemination to stakeholders.

Grants Development, Donor Contract Management and Fundraising
• Work with Programmes Department and UK FundComm teams to ensure new country programme plans on restricted funding reflect donor interests and funding trends that align with Brooke’s Theory of Change.
• Conduct donor scoping, and with support to other Brooke staff, identify potential funding opportunities and manage the application process in coordination with different objective focal persons.
• Research and identify new international and regional funding sources and partnership opportunities that will lead to new restricted funding sources and grow grant income.
• Develop funding proposals for key international and regional donors in collaboration with the Country CEO, UK Programme Directorate and UK programme funding staff.
• Manage all restricted funding processes in country including coordinating the provision of quality, timely and accurate narrative and financial information, qualitative and quantitative data to both UK FundComm and UK Strategy and Performance teams and help ensure all donor reporting deadlines are met.
• Together with the UK, coordinate country teams and provide capacity building, where needed, to ensure best practices and quality control for effective fundraising, management and stewardship of funded projects.
• Act as the key point of contact and coordinator for all visits to the Country programme from FundComm staff.
• Maintain communication and build networks with potential and current donor organizations.

Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Section, the incumbent is responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities
• Conceptualize and develop design proposals for review by clients by converting ideas, statistical information, illustrations, photographs, raw text, vector graphics, mapped images, and other graphic elements into finished files to be output as PDF for digital printing.
• Enhancing and colour profiling the Photographs/Text/Graphics/Artwork in Photoshop and Illustrator, convert data in info-graphics in Illustrator and some patchwork artwork in PhotoShop.
• Prepare Excel format files to be converted to charts and infographics, flow the data from excel format to Illustrator files for creation of info-graphics
• Prepare files for final production and Outputting of material and create Print PDFs or interactive PDF for uploading to the websites of UN clients.
• Ensure the format and the quality of the artwork files are up to standard before exporting to a print or digital PDF.
