JOB DETAILS:
County Coordinator for the Kenya-Finland Bilateral GBV Programme
This includes:
• Coordinating and/or facilitating capacity strengthening activities, in line with the programme’s Capacity Development Strategy and approved work plan.
• Working within existing structures at county-level to strengthen coordination mechanisms, using data and evidence to measure impact and effectiveness and support adaptive management.
• Providing technical support to enhance governance and coordination for greater accountability and transparency in planning, delivering, and monitoring of GBV prevention and response services.
• Building synergies with other programmes and partners to harmonize approaches, promote learning, increase cost effectiveness, and support gender-responsive spending. This includes supporting communication and cooperation efforts at county level.
The County Coordinator is thus expected to:
• Support the programme stakeholders in the county on the implementation of the approved work plan – ensuring interventions are of high technical quality, whilst ensuring alignment with government and donor policies & standards, and international best practices.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual work plans, reports, and budgets.
• Support the programme’s financial management at the county level, following the highest ethical standards of transparency, financial accountability, and integrity in all engagements with the programme.
• Monitor programme’s progress, risks and achievement of results, proactively identifying issues and offering solutions to address challenges early.
• Participate in the Programme Management Team (PMT) meetings either in person or virtually.
• Seek opportunities for inclusion of traditionally disadvantaged groups, especially people with disabilities, and emphasize a human-rights based approach in all interventions.
• Undertake any other relevant responsibilities and tasks assigned by the Programme Management.
Reporting:
• The County Coordinators reports to the Programme Director and Chief Technical Advisor on all aspects related to the programme implementation.
Duration of the assignment: Two (2) years, with the possibility of an extension.
Required qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelors’ Degree– ideally social work, community development, public health, or social sciences.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of inter-governmental relations and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
• At least 5 years' work experience in community development to address the needs of the most vulnerable groups/populations.
• Knowledge of the local culture, traditions, and norms in the respective County, together with exemplary interpersonal skills to engage key actors – including elders, cultural and religious leaders, and other disadvantaged groups.
• Experience in working with GBV prevention and response – using a survivor-centered, human-rights based approach to support access to services.
• Experience in planning and implementing capacity strengthening activities – proven ability to use a variety of methods to engage, inspire, and empower frontline workers to identify and implement key performance improvements.
• Outstanding communication skills – oral and written.
• Excellent computer skills: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS excel, Outlook.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili, knowledge of other local languages spoken in the County is considered ideal.

Job Description
This is an exciting role in our Wasoko Operations business unit which offers great opportunity to work on cross functional SOPs, process related training materials and conduct periodic internal reviews and audits. In this role, you will work closely with different functions to drive the day-to-day activities to ensure the accuracy, governance and maintenance of SOP’s. You will also act as the supportive source of knowledge for all SOP’s documents
You will be responsible for the following:
• Overseeing SOP development, implementation and compliance across all locations of Wasoko in Africa. Apply established procedures and guidelines to the keeping of records.
• Work with business stakeholders (Product, Operations, Audit, Finance) to develop a framework to support the implementation of standardized operating procedures.
• Lead the efforts to gather and create SOP requirements or process improvements in documenting processes, developing flowcharts, and drafting SOPs.
• Manage the aspects of the SOP document control, approval system and processes, including a review of SOP and other process documents for clarity and consistency so they are clearly understood by stakeholders.
• Develop checklists to track SOPs from creation to implementation, including sending reminders for SOPs about to require review or expire.
• Engage with stakeholders and co-workers in a cooperative and constructive and timely manner; facilitating a collaborative working environment.
• Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the implementation of consistent disciplinary action in cases of compliance violations.
• Draft, review, finalize and deliver audit reports, findings and recommendations in an effective manner to Global and Local Operational Leadership.
• Work with local teams to ensure adequate check in place and monitoring in all required areas.
• Defining areas to be audited and setting methodology. Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of controls and improving them continuously.
• Ensure past audit recommendations are implemented in the current audit process. Compile analyses process gaps and corrective action to be taken to the management.
• Ensure compliance closure to all Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) raised.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 5-7 years of experience in SOP creation in an SCM environment
• Proven experience in building SOPs, processes, procedures, user manuals, and work instructions (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Proficiency with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working in a diverse cultural environment.
• Enjoy working collaboratively as well as independently.

• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Committee Member or the County Secretary.
Requirements for Appointment:
• Be a Kenyan Citizen.
• Be a holder of at least a first Degree from a University recognized in Kenya.
• A post-graduate qualification in the relevant field.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
• Have relevant knowledge and experience of more than five years in the relevant field.
• Possess an understanding and exhibit commitment to National Values and Principles of Governance and Public Service as outlined In Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 respectively.
