JOB DETAILS:Position Summary:
The Tropical Forages program is seeking to recruit a Forages Intern to support the screening of spider-mite tolerance in a wide gene-bank accessions pool both in the field and in controlled conditions in the greenhouse in Mbita, Kisumu. He/she will work closely with program team members within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Screening of spider mite tolerance in a wide gene-bank accessions pool both in the field and in controlled conditions in the greenhouse
• Aid in the establishment of plants both in the greenhouse and the field.
• Conduct field screening of a wide gene-bank accessions pool. This will require field work (aid in the establishment of plants, maintenance, data collection and analysis)
• Conduct artificial greenhouse screening on field selected accessions using a previously developed assay.
• This will require rearing of the colony, establishment of plants to conduct assay, establishment of trial, data collection, image analysis and data analysis.
Qualification and personal attributes
• Master’s degree in Agriculture or other closely related discipline
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication and planning skills
• Self-driven and attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn new skillsets
• Excellent interpersonal skills with advanced written and verbal communication in
• English language and a local dialect in Kenya.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural environment

JOB DETAILS:• Ensure accurate processing of all fraud-raised issues and proper documentation of all fraud leads. In a timely manner to meet SLA.
Key Job Functions
• Respond to all fraud inquiries and leads provided within stipulated timelines
• Monitor and Man, the fraud escalation queue on Freshdesk to ensure SLA adherence
• Conduct due diligence, process all fraud tickets from Freshdesk with complete accuracy
• Document and track all fraud tickets on fraud SharePoint list correct data and maintain a high standard of data quality, controls, and comprehensiveness regarding all recorded data
• Conduct recorded investigations over the phone by interrogating suspects and the claimant to determine the legitimacy of the fraud allegations
• Send daily reports on daily ticket resolution and audit
• KYC audits for all escalated customers on the M-KOPA sales app Onfido
EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Certification in a fraud-related discipline, such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
• Knowledgeable in identifying indicators of fraud through data mining and analytical exercises.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and manage business expectations with key stakeholders
• A positive, learning-oriented attitude and capacity for self-empowerment
• Two years’ work experience in a professional role
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and understanding of statistics and quantitative methods
