JOB DETAILS: Communications Officer
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content
• Work with School Heads and other stakeholders to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns.
• Work closely with Heads of business units in Generating and executing marketing campaigns across social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, School events etc.
• Working closely with Heads of business units, graphics team and the ICT department to develop content and marketing materials such as leaflets, flyers, posters and newsletters, e-newsletters and videos.
• Involving key stakeholders for product development at each stage of campaign, and reporting results once completed
• Collaborate with Senior Management in preparing communication budgets and monitoring expenses
• Working closely with the procurement team to ensure service providers e.g. media, printers and publishers in the production of marketing materials such as leaflets, flyers, posters and newsletters, including e-newsletters and videos in the required standard and agreed timelines.
• Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies and Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth
• Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns.
• Ensure that all communication and marketing material aligns with RGS brand standards, mission, vision and values of RGS.
• Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos for future use.
• Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
• Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise
• Liaising with events coordinators to maximize visibility at conferences, receptions and exhibitions, including compiling product and literature lists to display or demonstrate.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related fields (Corporate Communications, Development Communication, International Relations, Broadcast Media, Print Media or related fields) with demonstrated experience in environment journalism/writing
• 3-4 years’ minimum experience in a similar position
• Experience in an educational institute is an added advantage
• Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
• Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
• Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
• Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

JOB DETAILS: Regional Communication Advisor
Responsibilities:
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the Regional Communication Advisor (RCA) will work closely with the Regional Team Leader and Country Leads, the Regional Communication Advisor (RCA) and will lead in the development and implementation of the WISH’s programme’s communication strategy, ensuring it is adaptive and responsive to changes in the programme’s external environment (e.g., COVID-19). The RCA will support WISH country teams, including partners, grantees, and stakeholders, to communicate effectively about the program to the targeted audience through capacity building, amplifying stories of change, and ensuring a cohesive messaging.
The RCA will oversee content development for all the programme’s platforms, including social media, the website, and for public relations and mainstream media coverage. They will be responsible for producing, and overseeing the production of, written and graphic materials which ensure consistency and compliance with programme brand, values, key messages, and style guidelines. They will liaise with colleagues in the regional offices and focal countries to amplify stories of change and showcase WISH on the global stage. The RCA will work closely with the learning team to produce and disseminate internal and external learning products, including global public goods.
The RCA will ensure that all communications work relating to the programme adheres to Safeguarding and Do No Harm guidelines, given the sensitivity of the programme focus.
Person specification:
To succeed in this role, the candidate will have:
• Degree in relevant study area
• Demonstrated experience of developing and implementing complex integrated programme communications strategies at scale
• Highly experienced brand strategist, with experience gained in either the commercial or not-for-profit sector
• Experience designing and implementing effective advocacy media campaign, preferably on social issues
• Demonstrated ability to optimise brand strategies within an African context
• Extensive on the ground experience of working in a minimum of one sub-Saharan African countries
• Exceptional and creative written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Working proficiency in English and French (spoken, written, reading)
• Right to live and work in Kenya

JOB DETAILS: Head of Alumni and Partner Relations
JOB PURPOSE
To provide leadership for Alumni Relations, collaborative Academic, Research, and Industry partnerships, and programs that complement and support the mission of SBS.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create, implement, and communicate a comprehensive plan that strategically engages alumni and friends by connecting them to SBS, including signature virtual and in-person events, visiting scholars, networking, and volunteer opportunities including Reunion, Volunteer Work Project, and other programs that advance the mutual interests of alumni, the local community and
• Serve as primary liaison and staff support to the Alumni Association Board of Help define goals, manage committee membership, develop schedules and agendas, guide and support the Board’s work.
• Develop an outreach plan focused on engaging alumni and friends around reunions segmented by class years, chapters, interests, and
• Develop, maintain, and update internet-based programs to connect with alumni including the alumni engagement

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The post holder will be required to have and demonstrate evidence of the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:
