JOB DETAILS:• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that operational excellence is delivered without compromising on quality, safety and service delivery.
Primary Duties / Essential Functions
• Aircraft Access Control: control access to the aircraft assuring that only authorized personnel enter the aircraft while on the ground.
• Aircraft Ramp Access Control: providing access control and safety oversight while aircraft is on the ground.
• Aircraft Search: meticulously searching all areas of the aircraft according to company and airline requirements and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers pre-departure. Ensure all aircraft recoveries have been handed over for recording and recovery purposes to the duty supervisor.
• Baggage Security: surveillance of baggage at sort area, Check-in, during escort and baggage/cargo in transit to ensure no baggage is tampered with, stolen or pilfered and nothing is put/introduced in the bags/cargo
• Catering Security: providing surveillance at the catering kitchen, searching all catering equipment, and ensuring that nothing is tampered with in transit from the facilities to aircraft.
• Passenger Verification: by providing exemplary customer service in airport terminal while making sure that all passengers have valid travel identification and are authorized to board flights.
• Secure loaded and unloaded baggage/cargo and providing escort in and out of the aircraft to various destinations.
• Comply with security regulations of customer aircrafts, passengers and cargo.
• Adherence and compliance to all Standard Operating Procedures (Swissport & Carrier Specific).
• Safeguard and properly handle passenger luggage at the baggage sort area to minimize chances of pilferage and damage to passenger luggage.
• Monitor and screen all passengers/baggage using various methods including but not limited to x-ray, physical checks, body search to detect prohibited and dangerous items and make sure that safety is maintained.
• Keep surveillance over porters, cleaners and all service providers in our operations ensuring that proper checks have been conducted and all incidents reported to supervisor.
• Ensure proper documentation of flight clearance is done and submitted to customs and immigration within the stipulated timelines.
• Secure all company property as well as customer airline property entrusted to the Company ensuring that proper inventory has been maintained during and post flight.
• Ensure compliance with uniform standards in line with appearance, and personnel protective equipment policies (safety shoes, shaving, uniform cleanliness and jewelry).
• Follow all safety and security guidelines set out by Swissport.
• Remain alert and vigilant at all times while on duty reporting any incidents/concern areas to supervisor/HOD.
• Collect and share intelligence reports/information with supervisors/HOD.
Qualifications
• KCSE Minimum C-
• Degree/Diploma in Business Related Course/ Certificate in Airport Operations/ Aviation Security
• Excellent communication skills
• Foreign language is an added advantage

JOB DETAILS:Security Officer
Tasks, Duties And Responsibilities
• Security officer is mandated to be present at all times at staff entrance when the staff are entering or leaving the hotel.
• He / She must position at main vehicle entrance to monitor and corrects any anomaly occurring
• He/ She must write incident report, update in the OB print and file, fill in weekly incident tablet for reference.
• Co-ordinate with police agencies in the investigation and handling, accidents etc. involving employees and guest.
• Patrols the hotel in regular basis and documents activities in accordance with corporate safety and security policies and procedures
• Ensures and Enforce security controls i.e. searching Employees, when leaving and during the course of duty during investigation.
• Ensure safety of the guest within the hotel premises and advise them of their safety while outside the hotel
• Attends required hotel meetings to keep abreast of in-house activities / promotions and events: - maintain communication with other departments throughout the hotel.
• Maintain order at the lobby by ensuring that no illegal business takes place and ensure that guests are comfortable.
• Ensure that routines and procedure to securely close down the different outlets at the end of opening time.
• Ensure that all meeting rooms and exhibits room are secured to keep unauthorized individuals out of the area and prevent theft.
• Completes daily security log, including pertinent information from the shift.
• Reports to security manager immediately of any customer complaints.
• Attends departmental meeting as required to communicate effectively with all accounting personnel to ensure that they are kept current with pertinent hotel information and activities.
• Ensure that hotel guests are not harassed by undesirable persons within the hotel and its immediate surroundings.
• Enforce control of hotel properties in all departments i.e. Housekeeping, laundry, Fitness Centre, F&B Outlets, Engineering to ensure no hotel property is stolen.
• Ensure compliance with fire, safety and emergency procedures.
• Inspect on a regular basis the security protective installation i.e. alarms system, floor emergency exits etc.
• Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, Hygiene and fire life safety.
• Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the SS/SM.
• Patrols the hotel on a regular basis and documents activities in accordance with corporate safety and security policies and procedures.
• Handles complaints, investigates, and thoroughly reports on guest or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other safety and security related issues.
• Ensures that routines and procedures are in place to keep all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policy.
• Maintains hotel key management procedures and ensures that all keys are accountable and only authorized persons have access to keys
• Ensures that all potential and real hazards are communicated and taken care of immediately.
