• Masters level university degree either Science in Health Economics, Policy, statistics, demographics, international development, epidemiology or related field.
• Minimum of Eight (8) years working experience

• 1 year post training work experience in M&E, epidemiology, data and statistical analysis, surveillance, Health Management Information Systems or Data Quality Assurance
• Be conversant with statistical analytical packages
• Have basic understanding of ICT systems and the use of electronic data management systems
• Be able to apply and use electronic data bases, and experience in the use of the KHIS and any other MOH data electronic data management systems is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities
The primary objective of this position is to offer support in
• Organizing data related to the organization objectives to ensure is accurate and of high quality
• Performing analysis of trends, patterns and assess meaning of data submitted by Missions in the network performance-reporting tool, and in the Monthly APRs
• Prepare final analysis reports to enable management take important decisions.
• Ensure timely data submission from the mission, for both APRs, stories and updating the Network reporting tool – develop a tracker.
• Data mine, compile and preform analysis of the submitted Monthly data.
• Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends on key sector indicators from primary and secondary sources of data.

• Develop strong relationships with key staff inspiring confidence in the work the Data & Insight team delivers.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, including objectives, suggest KPIs, and timeframes to identify how Data & Insight can add value, including coordination with website developments.
• Recommend and prioritise potential solutions based upon likely ROI and alignment with VSO vision.
• Identify process changes to drive efficiencies in data solutions.
• Pull together cross-functional teams to improve co-ordination of similar or conflicting requirements to improve overall organisational effectiveness (e.g. in relation to comms strategies).
