JOB DETAILS:
Our client East Africa’s leading Supply Chain Company is currently seeking to fill the position of a Warehouse Controller. The incumbent will be tasked with the core duty of supervising daily activities of warehouse operations to ensure safe and efficient receiving, storage and issuing of stock.

Warehouse Controller Job Responsibilities

•  Allocate equipment, receiving space and personnel in accordance with planning schedule.
•  Conduct daily spot checks to ensure receiving staff adhere to rules and procedures as published in the relevant operations SOP.
• Co-ordinate receiving/dispatch activities of shipments in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure correct stacking and storage procedures are adhered to as per SOP ,
•  Ensure all open GRN’s are closed within 24 hours of receipt.
•  Monitor and control movement of defect stock in quarantine area.
•  Ensure that all QHSE regulations are complied with to ensure safe working conditions and practices within receiving area.
•  Ensure security procedures are adhered to as per SOP in warehouse at all times and perform daily checks for compliancy.
•  Ensure that supervisor hands all warehouse documentation to order entry clerks in a timely manner.
•  Maintain catalogue of all items in warehouse.
•  Process discrepancy and damage reports as needed.
•  Supervise permanent and casual staff to ensure job activities are performed correctly.
•  Ensure receiving area cleanliness and that cleaning roster is up to date all times.
•  Evaluate complaints received and take appropriate action.

Requirements for the Warehouse Controller Job

•  Degree/ Diploma in business related field; logistics or supply chain management a plus
•  WMS/SAP experience a must
• 3 years’ experience in supply chain industry; Managing 50 to 100 staff.
