JOB DETAILS:

The World Bank Country Office in Kenya is seeking highly organized and energized professionals, capable of operating effectively and discreetly in a very demanding, fast-paced and culturally diverse environment, to fill the following vacant positions based in Nairobi, Kenya.
[b] Team Assistant - req1893 [ET Temporary]
The Team Assistant will provide administrative and client support to the Operational Staff mapped to the World Bank's Somalia Office based in Kenya. The duties and accountabilities include: [a] S/he will provide operational and administrative support with the use of desktop processing skills to produce complex texts. reports. presentations. charts. figures. graphs. etc., Collect and input data provided by Task Team Leaders into the central database, including processing new project status reports. Maintain up-to-date unit project files [both paper and electronic]: [b] Information Management and client interaction — Answer internal and external queries on the assigned portfolio or, as necessary. Maintain current distribution lists, phone/address lists of project/product contacts. and distribute documents for the team. Co-ordinate with service units and liaise frequently with team members both in Washington and in the Country Office; Track and report on appropriate aspects of the Team's operational activities: [c] Time management & logistics planning
- Track assigned tasks/project steps! timetables, provide assistance and/or information on project—related matters. Solve non-routine problems creatively and resourcefully:
Selection Criteria and Electronic Applications: The successful candidate should be a holder of at least a Diploma in business administration/studies or secretarial studies or office management or related field or other relevant qualification with at least 3 years‘ direct relevant working experience in a large international or service or Private Sector Organization. The ability to communicate effectively, in writing and orally in English and Somali is essential.
