JOB DETAILS:
Research Manager
Job Reporting to: Managing Director
Supervises: Project Managers
Salary budget 150k - 200k

Job Purpose
The specific duties of the Research Manager include project inception, planning, implementation, and coordination to ensure the highest standards of delivery. The role also entails business development in leading client engagement from pitches to presentations.
Ultimately, we’ll entrust you to help our team increase productivity by ensuring projects are delivered in time and within budget, teams are resourced and compliant in and business performance improves profitability.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Work closely with Managing Director to implement plans, processes, and projects upon confirmation.
• Support Project Managers in the development, implementation, coordination, and satisfactory completion of all project workplans.
• Supervise Project manager roles, responsibilities, and productivity by ensuring teams are resourced and compliant.
• Project Budgets requirements: Prepare budgets; schedule and monitor expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions to ensure budget targets are met or exceeded.
• Upskill teams by implementing continuous learning and training for all staff.
• Coordinate client communication with operational teams, develop innovative and responsive actions to ensure delightful customer experience, including resolving challenges that may arise during project cycles.
• Initiate client marketing opportunities and support potential client engagement through the preparation of proposals, meetings and other business development related activities.
• Initiate and coordinate company representation and participation in workshops, seminars and knowledge sharing forums on a regular basis.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or diploma in data or research related field of study.
• Not less than 4 years’ experience in a research operations role or monitoring and evaluation experience including enumeration or supervision duties in field.
• Post-Graduate qualification in marketing, operations, project management, business administration or related field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong budget development and oversight skills
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and client service.
• Strong proposal and business development skills
• Sound knowledge of interpreting and analysing data, generation of Research Insights.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Proficiency in SPSS, R or other survey analysis systems would be an advantage
• Ability to work and deliver under pressure.
• Interpersonal skills, good people skills and good organizational skills
• Very organized and detail oriented with strong time, costing, and project management skills
• Self-driven, results orientated, shows exceptional initiative, and is focused on quality and profit
Successful candidate will have a probationary period of 6 month before final confirmation to the role.
