JOB DETAILS:
Our client Porticus is looking for a Francophone Grant Manager for its team in Nairobi. .

Requirements
• Responsible for grant making in regions and for thematic areas,
• Identify innovative regional projects and programmes opportunities clearly articulating expected outcomes
• Develop regional programme concept notes and proposals,
• Build and manage network of implementing partners and grantees, assess suitability of grant applications in alignment with project and/or programme development; ensures adherence to the corresponding workflow,
• Ensure compliance to due diligence and protection policies:
• Monitor developments and use of funds, evaluate impact, share results and learnings and
• Internally and externally and apply learning for course-correction and future programmes

Qualifications and Competencies
• Be fluent in French and English (mandatory requirement) with experience working in DR Congo
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in grant making 3 years of which should be with an international foundation or NGO operating in Francophone Africa, and
• Strong and proven interest in Education with a strong focus on Whole Child Development and Child Protection
