JOB DETAILS:
Our client a mid-level clinic in Mombasa is seeking to employ two general clinical officers to attend and treat patients for ailments in an Outpatient/Inpatient department. .

Responsibilities
• Attending and treating patient ailments
• Documentation of history taking, physical examination, investigation and diagnosis of patient’s ailments and management
• Give consultation services to all patients, diagnosing, giving health education, counseling and treatment
• Take patients notes, examine and document all findings
• Liaise with other service providers to ensure efficient and effective management of patients
• Refer patients for physiotherapy, x-ray units, laboratory, external doctors and other service providers
• Admit patients to the main hospitals and other specialized facilities
• Perform outpatient medical and surgical procedures
• Promote disease prevention and participate in wellness programs
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in service provision
• Responsible for medical equipment assigned
• Keep up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine
• Promote good health, well-being and prevention of illness
• Observe patients follow ups

Qualifications
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine from Kenya Medical Training College or any recognized institution
• Have a valid License from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya
• Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers Council
• Experience working with MOH/County systems and personnel will be an added advantage
• Should be self-motivated
• Should have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
