JOB DETAILS:
The Institute for Research and Policy Alternatives (IRPA), based in Nairobi, Kenya, is seeking a Women's Land Rights Consultant with expertise in the Middle East and North Africa, to be part of a team on a bid for a 12-month consultancy to conduct an assessment of the landscape for women’s housing, land and property rights – both urban and rural - in the Middle East-North Africa (MNA) region.
Qualifications:
• Gender analysis and gender gap assessment
• Land law with a focus on intersection of law and gender issues
• Expertise with qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Public awareness raising around gender and land issues
Other desirable criteria:
• At least 5 years experience in gender and land tenure issues
• Candidates based in the Middle East or North Africa region are highly desired.
• Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
