JOB DETAILS:
Web Developer Specialist
As a software developer Web Specialist at StepWise, you will work directly with our developer team and to develop new software features. To be successful, you must be equally comfortable interacting with business executives and diving into a detailed discussion with technical experts. You will work directly with the developer team to understand the needs of our customer s and navigate the development and deployment of complex software features. We are looking for a talented Web Specialist who is an IT professional specializing in developing web applications.

Responsibilities
• The selected candidate will be involved in real-world, cutting edge technology projects that benefit both the intern and the companies that support our program.
• Consistently create well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development, including mobile and responsive site design
• Create websites and user interfaces, using standard HTML/CSS/Bootstrap practices, while incorporating data from back-end databases and services
• Create and maintain workflowswith teams to provide visibility andto ensure workload balance for consistent visual designs
• Develop or validate testing schedules, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure various computers can access content
• Maintain updated knowledge of new and emerging industry trends and technology

Requirements
• Pursuing a BS/BA in Management Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
• Desire to build a career in Information Technology.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
• Strong problem solving and business process skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills
• Proficient with HTML and CSS
• Knowledge with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript or C# is a plus.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security session management and best development practices.
• Basic knowledge of relational database systems, object oriented programming and web application development.
• Basic knowledge of search engine optimization process.
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Knowledge in PHP frameworks such as Larval is a plus.
