Job Details/Description

Duties And Responsibilities;
1. Implement animal disease control activities, strategies and policy frameworks
2. Organize and undertake vaccinations against Livestock diseases
3. Undertake Livestock disease surveillance
4. Coordinate Vector control
5. Undertake livestock movement control
6. Undertake animal welfare and protection activities
7. Supervision of sub county ward staff, interns and attachment students
8. Coordination of performance management in the sub ward veterinary activities
9. Implement sub county ward veterinary activities

Requirements For The Appointment
• Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
• Registered with Kenya Veterinary Board with valid practicing license
• A member of Kenya Veterinary Association
• 5 years’ Experience in similar job
Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau
