5. Valuer, JOB GROUP CPSB 09 (1 POST)

Duties And Responsibilities
i. Preparation and coordinate implementation of valuation rolls and reports for ratable
property and providing advice on assessment for payment.
ii. Developed and maintain updated valuation database property values throughout the
County.
iii. Keeping an asset register of values of all properties owned by the County Government.
iv. Advising the County Government on the market values of property to be purchased.
V. Coordinate with National Land Commission on valuation for compulsory acquisition and
easements for the County Government.
vi. Facilitating the convening of the valuation Court for purpose of appeals/objections to
entries in Valuation Rolls and
vii. Monitoring and evaluation of valuation activities.
viii. Any other duties that maybe assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

Requirements For Appointment
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen. ii. Have a Bachelor's Degree in Land Economics or Real Estate from a recognized
University.
ii.Have experience of at least two (2) years as a Land Valuer.
iii.Be a Member of Institute of Surveyors of Kenya as a graduate Surveyor (Land Valuation Chapter)
iv.Have a Certificate in Computer Applications and
Meets all requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation
b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
