NNorbrook Laboratories Limited is one of the world's leading companies within the Pharmaceutical Industry with a reputation for achieving results within a competitive market place. The following vacancy has arisen in our facility in Karuri, Kenya.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Transport goods to and from Warehouse and distribution centers / Customer Premises
• Ensuring orders are delivered according to the established time frames and customer needs
• Securing of items and verifying the accuracy of delivery papers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Document and log periods and kilometers spent driving
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
Required Skills and Qualifications
• At least 5 years of proven work experience as a truck driver (Class B, C & E)
• Ability to drive long hours
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid truck driving license (Class B, C & E)
• Minimum Educational Qualification: KCSE
• Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
• Mature independent individual of him integrity and good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
