Task description
The Online Volunteer will work with the regional Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) specialist to translate a number of operational tools developed for MHPSS activities in the East and Horn of Africa Region from English to French. The MHPSS specialist will share the tools with the volunteer and organize a phone call to go through each tool. The Online Volunteer will have 2-3 weeks to translate the documents. A first draft will be submitted to the MHPSS specialist. Upon review of French-speaking MHPSS colleagues, the translator will have 1 more week to review the drafts and submit final translations to the MHPSS specialist.

Requirements
Required experience
• Good command of English and French and strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
• Computer Literacy: Excellent use of office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft publisher, Outlook)
• French to English translation, editing and proofreading skills
• Have 1 to 3 years of solid experience in translating documents from English French and vice versa There is some technical language related to mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in the tools. As such, it would be helpful if the UNV candidate has a background in mental health or related fields.
