JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
• The Trade Operations Supervisor is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Trade Operations team.
• The overall objective is to is to provide oversight over local Trade Operations department within the established controls and standards for the country as the functions are centralized in the Head Office. It also involves execution of the role of the Trade Service Professional (TSP) to ensure delivery of customer transactions is seamless.

Responsibilities:
• Act as a single point of contact for all Trade Customers to facilitate resolution of trade queries
• Offer end-to-end ownership of all trade transactions
• Acts as a focal-point for all service-level initiatives
• Monitors Trade Ops performance against our service level agreements
• Provide advice and where required training to customers on various queries and deficiencies noted.
• Provide feedback to the business and product development on customer behavior and opportunities
• Implementation of policies, processes, new guidelines and products affecting trade.
• Protect the bank from losses emanating from errors, omissions, frauds, control lapses etc.
• Trade and Treasury Operations Head Back-up
• Advice Relationship managers and Trade Products on certain customer behavior to exploit cross-sale opportunities
• Receive and respond to clients’ transactional queries
• Initiate service reviews
• Attend customer round tables for Trade as well as provide client feed back to the Trade Product Sales team on our products
• Escalate product related issues
• Proactively manage risks through strict adherence to the laid down controls and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
• Over 3 years of experience in a related role within trade operations management
• Experience in Supervising Cross-functional Teams
• Effective verbal and written skills
• Effective communication and analytical skills
• Effective relationship management skills
• Expert level proficiency in Windows, MS Project, and MS Office Suite
Education:
• Bachelor’s/University degree with a minimum second Class Honors Upper Division or equivalent.

Skills and Knowledge:
• University Degree
• Technical competence with MS office applications.

• High volumes of transactions which require more time to process
• Due diligence is required at all times to ensure that documentary procedures are adhered to as per the banks regulations.
