Requirements for appointment.
• Be a Kenyan citizen.
• Must be a holder of at least a degree from a University recognized in Kenya in commerce, marketing, business administration, business management, entrepreneurship, economics, international trade/business/relations Co-operatives, Tourism, or any Social Sciences.
• Master’s degree in a relevant recognized field will be an added advantage.
• Must have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of not less than ten (10) years in the specific, five (5) of which must be at senior level either at government or private sector.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution, county development objectives and vision 2030.
• Be conversant with policy formulation and implementation.
• Satisfy and attach all requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
• Must have attended senior management course lasting not less than 4 weeks from an institution recognized in Kenya.
• A strategic leadership development programme course from an institution recognized in Kenya is an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
• The administration of a county department.
• Implementation of policies and development plans.
• Development and implementation of strategic plans.
• Formulate and implement effective programs to attain vision 2030 and sector goals.
• Promote national values and principles of governance and values and principles of public service.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 120
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
