JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
The Tour Driver is responsible for a variety of transportation duties for the lodge. These include but are not limited to conducting guest transfers and company transport errands as directed..

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include: (Not limited to)
1. Conduct daily routine functional and equipment checks of company vehicles prior to departure.
2. Maintain the overall cleanliness of company vehicles.
3. Responsible for follow up on renewal of licenses, insurance and inspection documentation.
4. Complies with local traffic laws & regulations and the company’s transport policy.
5. Follows up on authorization and accurate recording of vehicle movement.
6. Ensures necessary vehicle servicing and maintenance is done.
7. Performs emergency mechanical repairs to vehicle.
8. Plans for all guest transfer logistics and provides feedback on travel.
9. Maintains a high standard of grooming at all times.
10. Jovially engages guests on journey and remains courteous and offers reasonable assistance that may be requested.
11. Security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road.
12. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Prerequisites:
1. Professional certificate in Tour guiding and Administration from a recognized training institution.
2. Must be between 30 – 45 years of age
3. Must have good knowledge of the regional roads in Nyeri, Nanyuki and Nairobi areas.
4. Familiar with Mt. Kenya national park routes, rules and regulations.
5. Must be in possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct for current year.
6. Must have a valid PSV driving license.
7. Must be formally licensed by the TRA- Tourism Licensing Authority as a Tour Driver Guide.
8. Must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience
9. Good Defensive/ Offensive driving skills
10. Should have a good command in English and good fluency in Kiswahili
11. Mature, healthy with excellent eyesight and punctual with a good attendance record
12. Flexibility in terms of working hours
