Job Description

PATH is currently recruiting for a Temporary Investigations Associate for a period of 1 year (12 months) to provide Investigative support services.
Reporting to the Ethics and Compliance Officer, the Investigations Associate will work closely with our Internal Audit, Finance, Legal Affairs, and Human Resources teams to reduce financial fraud and abuse losses by efficiently and effectively investigating allegations of financial misconduct.

Key Responsibilities
The Investigations Associate will be responsible for the following duties:
• Undertake, either personally or jointly with other team members, investigation tasks and enquiries into allegations of violation of policies, complaints and allegations of misconduct including those related to fraud and safeguarding violations.
• Assess the nature of reported complaints, establish the elements of the relevant offences, and prepare comprehensive written investigation reports in a timely manner according to PATH’s Allegations Management Process.
• Participates within a team of investigators in gathering and preparing evidence; obtaining and reviewing relevant documentation; conducting interviews and taking statements; analyzing facts, determining findings and formulating recommendations; gathering and analyzing electronic evidence.
• Manage contacts with external persons including subjects, victims, witnesses and relevant management.
• Contributes to the development of policies, procedures and guidance material, relevant to the allegations management process, based on applicable best practice and developments in the industry.
• Works collaboratively and in coordination with colleagues to achieve organizational goals, in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures and in compliance with organizational regulations and rules.
• Performs other duties as required.

Required Experience

o A minimum of three years of professional experience in conducting workplace investigations (including Safeguarding related) and forensic audits.
o Experience conducting interviews with victims, witnesses or subjects(respondents).
• A bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:
o Accounting, finance or any other business-related field
o Law, compliance or any other related field
o Information Technology, cybersecurity, computer forensic or any other related field

• Professional certifications in any of the following fields:
o Business such as Certified Public Accountant (in respective country)
o Forensic and Fraud Investigations such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
o IT such as Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
o Any other relevant certifications in the fields of fraud risk management, Corporate Intelligence, Forensic Audits & Investigations, Fraud Monitoring & Assurance and Cybersecurity & Forensic Technology.

• Language
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English or fluency in English is required.
o A working knowledge of French is a strong asset

o Ability to administrate and handle complex and voluminous amounts of information and evidence;
o Good research, analytical and problem-solving skills;
o Flexibility and adaptability to changing environment and plans;
o Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment in a nondiscriminatory manner, with respect for diversity;
o High standards of professional and personal integrity.
