Telesales Executive
Main purpose of the job
• The Telesales Executive will be responsible for generating, closing leads, and supporting field staff in the sales process. CarePay’s key clients & stakeholders are split into 4 main groups:
• Participants: these are our clients who have been saving for healthcare on our platform.
• Healthcare providers: we need to have as many solid and reputable healthcare providers on our platform as possible and engage with them on an ongoing basis.
• Institutional payers of healthcare: these are (inter)national health(re)insurance companies, health insurance brokers, and medium to large sized corporates.
• Non-profit or public payers of healthcare: these are mainly the Ministry of Health, the county governments, the National Hospital Insurance Fund, public donor organizations (e.g., USAID, DFID, Global Fund, etc), and private donor organizations (e.g. the PharmAccess foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Pfizer Foundation).
Duties and responsibilities
• Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts
• Answer questions about products or the company
• Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
• Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed
• Enter and update customer information in the database
• Take and process orders in an accurate manner
• Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation
• Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
• Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information
Sales KPIs
• Number of policies sold
• Number of leads converted to sales
• Field and agent efficiency
• Revenue generated
Telesales Executive Requirements:
• Proven experience asTelesales representative or other sales/customer service role
• Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferablyover the phone
• Good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) andtelephone systems
• Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain themto prospects
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Levelheaded and able to handle rejection
• Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues andaddress complaints
• Undergraduate degree will be a plus
