Job Purpose Statement
Responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals. They coordinate efforts between different projects without managing any one of them. Instead, they lead the overall program with strong attention to strategy, implementation, and delegation. Program managers are highly skilled professionals who help organizations stay on schedule, on specification, and ultimately on an upward trajectory of success and growth. Acts as a coordinator between multiple projects at a business or organization to be sure their benefiting each other and aligning with overall business goals. Tasked with developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long-term goals. Charged with developing budgets and operating plans for programs and writing program-funding proposals. Formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:

• At least an undergraduate degree Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative subject area; or equivalent experience.

Professional:
• Professional qualification in Project Management e.g. Prince II. And/or PMP

Desired work experience:
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels. The ability to influence, motivate, empower, and align people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills up through the executive level, and exceptional emotional intelligence. Be good at facilitating discussions.
• Outstanding organisational, leadership and time management skills.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and eagerness to try new things, be innovative and move quickly.
• A collaborative work style and a roll-up your sleeves attitude; deep sense of personal ownership, and willingness to "do the work" as opposed to just overseeing or managing the work.
• The ability to successfully manage competing priorities and responsibilities, and help others do the same. You excel under pressure, maintaining a calm demeanour.
• Proven stakeholder management skills.
