JOB DETAILS:
Tax Analyst
Reporting to the Head of Tax Compliance, the Tax Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and management of tax compliance within the Foundation. The role entails analyzing tax data for preparation of tax reports. They are responsible for ensuring accurate taxation, ledger postings, reporting, and tax remittances for CIT, WHT and other statutory deductions (excluding payroll). The role will provide support to the Head of Tax Compliance with regard to other tax tasks.

Ways you can contribute
• Prepare all financial information and provide required documents for review by the Head of Tax Compliance and Global Controller.
• Analyze all accounting information and prepare required paperwork for posting.
• Analyze all work papers to ensure accuracy and analyze all accounting and tax information and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Maintain all accounting and tax information.
• Administer and ensure compliance to all monthly and annual activities.
• Maintain and reconcile all tax general ledger accounts and evaluate all account balances and prepare all tax returns and schedule for same and perform regular audits on all tax returns.
• Analyze all transactions and recommend alternatives to same and provide efficient response to all tax inquiries and provide required certificates for same.
• Provide support on all tax related issues and perform research on various tax issues and prepares all comprehensive memos and maintain record of all transactions for the Foundations use.
• Co-ordinate with accounting Teams on all accounting postings
• Respond to all queries associate with tax submissions and ensure compliance to all extensions and payments.
• Responsible for tax related controls.

Who You Are
• Business related bachelor’s degree and a Tax or accounting certification.
• 4-8 years’ of experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and processes.
• Possess regional experience and experience interacting with revenue authorities within Africa.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to use advanced level of Microsoft Excel including macros etc
• Experience handling accounting ERP.
• Possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity.
• Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to a variety of constituents across cultures.
• Brings a customer-service attitude.
• Proven track record of successful multitasking and self-starter.
• Drives a culture of continuous improvement.
• Takes initiative to keep abreast of issues related to accounting operations and accounting systems in general.
• Keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
