6. Superintendent (Electrical), JOB GROUP ‘CPSB 09’ (K) ONE (1) POST
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
1. Be a Kenyan Citizen;
2. Served in the grade of Senior Inspector (Electrical) or comparable and relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years;
• A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician Certificate Part III or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
1. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and result.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Inspection, and maintenance of electrical installation in public buildings and Government Quarters;
2. Commissioning, testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire-detection equipment, cookers, water- heaters and general domestic appliances;
• Inspection and Maintenance of electrical controls in power generating plants and machinery, catering equipment, lifts, boilers, cookers water heaters and general domestic appliances;
1. Inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in power generating plants and machinery, catering equipment, lifts, boilers, cookers, water heaters and general domestic appliances; and
2. Testing and maintenance of low and medium voltage distribution system.

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Associate Degree
