SUBMISSION OF MEMORANDA/PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ON THE NYAMIRA COUNTY BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2023/2024
Article 196 of the Constitution of Kenya. 2010 provides that "A county assembly shall conduct its business in an open manner, and hold its sittings and those of its committees, in public: and facilitate public participation and involvement in the legislative and other business of the assembly and its committees."
The Nyamira County Government Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2023/2024 were submitted to the County Assembly on 28th April, 2023 and subsequently committed to the Committee on Budget & Appropriations, upon being laid on the Table, for consideration and processing.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 196 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, Section 87][a]. [b] of the County Government Act, 2012 and Section 131[2] of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012 the Committee on Budget & Appropriations will be holding a public meeting on the submitted Budget Estimates for the Nyamira County Government for the Financial Year 2023/2024 at the County Assembly Grounds - Nyamira on Wednesday 14th June, 2023 at 10:00am. All residents of Nyamira County are invited to participate.

Application procedure
Interested members of the public and stakeholders are also invited to submit their views through written memoranda to the Committee specifying the policy areas and programs for funding in line with the approved Nyamira County Fiscal Strategy Paper, 2023. Copies may be obtained from the County Assembly website: www.nyamiraassembly.go.ke 
Written memoranda or proposals may be submitted to the CLERK, County Assembly of Nyamira, P.O. Box 580 NYAMIRA (40500) or info@nyamiraassembly.go.ke or by hand delivery to the Office of the Clerk, County Assembly main Buildings- Nyamira so as to be received on or before 14 June, 2023 at 1700HRS.
