JOB DETAILS:
REF: TUR/CPSB/063/2022/2023: SUB COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, JOB GROUP ‘Q’, FIVE (5) POST.
• The Sub County Administrator will be responsible to County Director in charge of the Administration
Duties and responsibilities:-
• Ensuring citizen participation in the development of policies, plans and delivery of services in the area of jurisdiction;
• Facilitating mobilization and ensuring prudent utilization of resources;
• Facilitating citizen participation in the development of policies, plans and delivery of services in the area of jurisdiction;
• Facilitating intra and inter-governmental relations and conflict resolutions;
• Overseeing safe custody of government assets in the area of jurisdiction;
• Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirement in the area of jurisdiction;
• Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of good governance;
• Identification of development projects;
• Dissemination of information to the Public, and
• Providing linkages between the office and the community.
Requirements and competencies for appointment:
• For appointment in this grade, a candidate must have:-
• Serve in the grade of Assistant Director Administration Service/Deputy Sub County Administrator for a period of a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
• Bachelor degree in any of the following discipline; Public Administration, Business Administration /Management, Community Development or any other related field from recognized institution;
• Master degree in any of the following; Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development any other Social Science from recognized institution will be an added advantage;
• Diploma in advanced Public Administration or equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Attended Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding for national goals, policies, objectives and the ability to relate them to the administration function.
