Position: Sports Officer II JOB GROUP CPSB 10

Number of Posts: One (1) Post
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission

Duties and responsibilities
1. Develop an evaluation strategy for the implementation of sports development programs in the county
2. Liaise with relevant sports stakeholders in implementation of sports development programs to identify the needs of youths.
3. Develop work plans on sports development programs and submit timesheets that comply with administrative responsibilities.
4. Generate interest ad increase participation in sports.
5. Provide leadership and organizational skills in sports.
6. Disseminate information on organized sport-related projects and programs.
7. Increase participation in various sports activities of all kinds to reduce ill health, crime and other anti-social activities.

Requirements for Appointment
1. Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science or Recreation & Sports Management.
2. Knowledge of professional standards relevant to the area of work.
3. Communication skills

6. Ability to work under pressure Ability to work well with teams
7. Problem solving skills
8. Supervisory skills
9. Meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution
