JOB DETAILS:
B. Department Of Roads, Transport And Public Works

3. Senior Superintendent Electrical, JOB GROUP CPSB 8 (1 POST)
The Senior Superintendent Electrical will be answerable directly to the Director Public works.

Duties And Responsibilities
i. Supervision of Installation, Inspection, Commissioning, Testing and Maintenance of
ii. Diesel generating plants and Machinery in Public building, Hospital Institutions and so
on.
iii. Maintenance of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Equipment and so on.
iv. Preparation of Design Drawings and Specifications and estimates for power supplies to Public buildings, Hospital, Airports and other Institutions.
v. Supervise technical Staff working under him/her. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director or the Chief Officer.

Requirements For Appointment
For appointment to the Senior Superintendent Electrical Engineer the Officer must:
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen.
ii. Possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution.
iii. Have served satisfactorily for at least two (2) years in the field. iv. Have a very wide knowledge and experience in all areas of Electrical Design, Supply
Installations, Commissioning, Testing, Inspection and Maintenance.
V. Have the ability and knowledge to plan and direct Electrical work.
Be in possession of class 'A' Electricians Licence.
vii. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership
and Integrity.
a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
